Terms of use

Your licence
A licence key lets you use Vid on up to the number of computers it was issued for, usually two. It is for you, or for the person or team it was issued to. Do not share, sell or publish it. You can move it to another computer from inside the app.
We may turn off a key that is shared publicly or used against these terms. Early-access keys can have an end date, which we tell you when we send the key.
Early access
Vid is still being built. Features may change, and things will sometimes break. Keep your original videos backed up and check exports before you post them. We may change or end early access, and we will tell you before we do.
Your content
Your videos, clips and projects are yours. We do not claim any rights to them and never receive them; see the privacy page. You are responsible for having the rights to the footage you edit and post.
Other services
Features that use Google AI, TikTok, YouTube, Instagram or Telegram work through your own accounts, under those services’ terms. Their costs, limits and decisions are between you and them.
Things you may not do
- bypass, disable or tamper with the licence check
- reverse engineer Vid to get around a limit, except where the law allows it
- use Vid to make content you do not have the right to publish
No warranty
Vid is provided as it is during early access, without warranties of any kind. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for lost data, lost earnings or indirect damage from using it.
Changes
If we change these terms, we update the date above. Using Vid after a change means you accept the new terms.
